Sanctum is a hydrosol distilled from frankincense, made for skin that wants toning, calm, and a touch of restoration. Its natural astringent quality helps tone and firm the skin, while its anti-inflammatory character makes it especially supportive for mature or tired complexions.

This is Black Sacra frankincense, a rare, deeply resinous grade harvested from the Dhofar region of Oman, prized by distillers and perfumers for its dark, sticky tears and uncommonly deep aroma. Myrrh joins in a supporting role, its own astringent, skin-supportive tradition deepening the blend's care for the complexion.

Beyond the skin, frankincense carries a long tradition of use in meditation and ceremony, misted through a room to clear and settle a space. Sanctum works on both levels at once.

Product Information

Sanctum absorbs quickly and settles into the skin with a warm, resinous aroma that is deeply complex. Frankincense leads with its dry, balsamic character, woody and slightly citrus, with a note of pine. Myrrh adds a warm, earthy depth beneath it, slightly bittersweet and grounding. The overall impression is resinous and ceremonial, nothing sharp or sweet, just the resins exactly as they are.

Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Best enjoyed within 6 months for full vibrancy.

how to use

Mist generously over clean skin after cleansing and before your serum. Hold the bottle 6 to 8 inches from the face and let the mist settle before applying the next step. For best results, apply your serum while the skin is still slightly damp. Sanctum can also be used throughout the day over makeup or bare skin whenever the complexion wants toning or a moment of calm.

Sanctum can also be misted through a room, especially before meditation or rest, as a way of clearing the space and settling into stillness. Hold the bottle upright and mist a few times through the air, letting the scent of frankincense and myrrh fill the room before you begin.
