I have always had an adverse reaction to valerian, the herb most sleep formulas lean on. In traditional herbal energetics, valerian is considered a warming herb, and for those of us who run hot, it can produce the opposite of its intended effect, restlessness instead of rest. As I entered menopause, sleep support became something I needed and could not easily find.

I met Lily, the formulator behind Farmacopia, years ago at Oshala Farm's Herb Camp, in a workshop on formulation that changed how I thought about herbal blending entirely. It gave me real hope that someone out there had considered people like me. Sleep Now was her answer, and it has supported my sleep for years since.

The formula leans on California poppy and kava to relax the body and ease stress, kava in particular carries a long tradition of use for calming the nervous system without sedative heaviness. Passionflower quiets a restless mind, lemon balm lifts and calms at once, and lavender eases nervous tension. No valerian, anywhere in the formula.

Product Information

Sleep Now has a light, herbal flavor, gently bitter, easy to take straight from the dropper or diluted in a small amount of water. It works within thirty minutes to an hour for most people, and can be taken again upon waking in the night if sleep does not hold.

Shake well before use.

This formula contains Kava. If you have liver disease, please consult a medical professional before use.

how to use

Shake well and take 3 to 6 full squeezes of the dropper 30 minutes before bed, and again upon waking if needed.
